1. Who we are

This policy explains how Clutch Denim (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2024/485798/07), trading as Clutch Denim ("we", "us"), collects and uses personal information through clutchdenim.co.za. We process personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

2. Information we collect

  • Contact and identity details: name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery addresses
  • Order details: products bought, order history, payment confirmations (we do not see or store your full card number), deliveries, returns and refunds
  • Account details if you create an account
  • Messages you send to customer care
  • Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, cookie identifiers and pages viewed

  • To process, deliver and support your orders, returns and refunds
  • To manage your account and respond to enquiries and complaints

4. Who we share it with

We share personal information only where needed to run the business: our e-commerce platform and hosting provider, payment providers, courier companies, IT, analytics and email/SMS service providers, professional advisers, and authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell personal information.

5. Cross-border processing

Some of these providers store or process information outside South Africa. Where that happens, we take the steps POPIA requires to keep it protected.

We send marketing only with your consent, or to existing customers about similar products with a chance to opt out. Every marketing message has an unsubscribe option, or you can email us to stop.

8. How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes above, or longer where the law requires (for example, tax records). After that we delete or de-identify it.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. No online system is completely secure, so please keep your account password private.

10. Your rights

Under POPIA you may ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, object to certain processing, withdraw consent and opt out of marketing. Contact us using the details above; we may need to verify your identity first. You may also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
